Position Available: Manager of Nursing Services
EK Health Services has an immediate opening for a Manager of Nursing Services. This Manager will oversee the operations and functions of some nursing staff, which includes Case Management and other Nursing programs. The role requires strong analytical skills and clinical knowledge to relate to the professional staff and to manage the business aspects of the department effectively.

Position Logistics: Full-time, Exempt status, located in our San Jose office
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Management of telephonic and field case managers, including CMs for embedded UR requirements.
· Management of Next Step Advisory program.
· Direct supervision of staff members, which requires:
o Evaluating individual staff performance, collaborate with the Director of QA in QA evaluation, and other ongoing evaluation as needed,
o Forecasting staffing needs based on potential business growth,
o Participating in the interview process to hire new staff,
o Leading weekly or biweekly teleconferences with functional teams to build camaraderie and quality of work, and to discuss current events
o Planning, coordinating and participating in staff in-services and training seminars
o Accepting or filling-in for case management and other staff level work, as needed
o Managing ongoing development of nursing programs, including Orientation
o Conducting termination meetings for staff.
· Provides back-up for Director of Managed Care.
· Responsible for the delivery of managed care services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as the organization's policies and procedures.
· Development and management of new lines of Nursing business products, in conjunction with the Director of Managed Care and the Sales & Marketing Team
· Collaborates with other clinical managers and departments to maintain strong internal working relationships.
· Travel required for client and staff purposes.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
· Bachelors degree required, Masters Degree in Healthcare Management or similar field preferred.
· 5-10 years of management experience, exceptional leadership abilities, and analytical abilities required.
· Experience in the insurance, workers compensation or related healthcare industries strongly preferred: WC Claims professionals with people management experience encouraged to apply.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; conflict resolution and mediation skills.
· Must be self-directed and motivated; capable of managing operations independently with on a day-to-day basis.
· Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
· High comfort level with computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Email)
· Ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure, time sensitive environment
